How USMLEMed works

  1. Read the vignette. Board-format presentation with history, vitals, exam findings and labs.
  2. Commit to an answer, or take a hint. Four hints escalate from framing the problem to narrowing the differential. Each hint lowers your maximum score (100% unaided, then 75%, 50%, 25%, 10%).
  3. See the reasoning chain. After answering you get the full diagnostic chain, why the correct answer is correct, the common traps, and clinical pearls.
  4. Practise under the clock. Exam blocks run at 90 seconds per question so pacing becomes automatic.
  5. Track and repeat. Saved blocks log every attempt, so improvement or decline is visible instead of guessed.
